Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 6–8 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cup sparkling water or coconut water
  • Ice cubes

Optional:

  • 1 tsp honey or agave (if watermelon isn’t sweet)
  • Chili-salt rim or Tajín for spice
  • Watermelon balls, mint sprig, or lime wedge for garnish

Instructions

Blend the watermelon:

  • Add watermelon to a blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother drink.

Muddle the mint:

  • In your serving glass, gently muddle the mint with lime juice. Just press, don’t shred.

Mix the base:

  • Add about ¾ cup of watermelon juice to the mint-lime mix. Stir well.

Add ice and fizz:

  • Fill the glass with ice, then top with sparkling water or coconut water.

Garnish and serve:

  • Add a mint sprig, lime wheel, or watermelon wedge. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Notes

📝 Notes:

  • For a slushie-style mocktail, freeze watermelon cubes and blend with lime juice and mint.
  • Make ahead tip: Prepare the watermelon juice + lime base, refrigerate, and add soda just before serving.
  • Add jalapeño slices or a chili-salt rim for a spicy twist.
  • For a sugar-free version, skip sweeteners and use ripe, juicy watermelon.
