Ingredients
  

  • 2 (6 oz) Angus beef patties (or lean ground beef)
  • 2 brioche or whole wheat burger buns toasted
  • 2 slices cheddar or pepper jack cheese or vegan alternative
  • ¼ cup grilled onions
  • ¼ cup pickled or grilled jalapeños
  • 2 tbsp smoky BBQ sauce or chipotle mayo
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 thick tomato slices
  • Optional: avocado slices or vegan cheese

Instructions
 

Season & Shape: Lightly season beef patties with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Shape into thick, round patties.

    Grill Patties: Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for 5–6 minutes per side, or until internal temp reaches 160°F.

      Toast Buns: Toast buns on grill or in a pan until golden and slightly crispy.

        Melt Cheese: Add cheese to hot patties and let it melt before removing from grill.

          Assemble Burger:

          • Spread sauce on both bun halves
          • Add lettuce, tomato, burger patty with melted cheese
          • Top with grilled onions and jalapeños
          • Finish with the top bun

          Serve: Plate with fries, coleslaw, or baked beans. Enjoy hot.
